Anterior Core exercises to improve golf performance.
Here’s some exercises to strengthen your anterior core. Important to help maintain posture during the golf swing, minimise unwanted movement from the lower back (reduce injury) and transfer power from the lower body to the golf club.
- Ab Roll Outs or Plank Walk-outs
- Leg Raises
- V-sit/ v-sit crunches
- Plank (weighted)
- Mountain Climbers/ Jackknifes
These exercises should be performed as part of a programme, along with other strength training training exercises which are also great for the anterior core.
