Stability in the Golf Swing

Here’s five of my favourite exercises to help improve stability in the golf swing, particularly if you sway/slide (i.e. lateral movement in the golf swing):

  1. Split Squats
  2. Lateral Lunges
  3. Single leg squat
  4. Single leg glute bridge
  5. Side bridge with leg raise

Stability exercises for golf

These exercises focus on strengthening around the hips and also the core. ‘Balance’ type exercises might have their place within an exercise program, but I think many golfers who feel ‘unbalanced’ or unstable would benefit from these stability/strengthening exercises.
